History

Nomad Ltd tours began in 1993 with an eight-day backpacking excursion in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. That first tour stimulated great interest among our regular customers, as well as other community members. As our tours department added new trips and Nomad Ltd opened new stores, we researched tour desires among our past and prospective customers, adding new tour types to our existing outdoor athletic trips.

Today

Today the Nomad Ltd Tours department offers three types of tours: Arts, Leisure, and Athletic. Arts tours focus on attending arts and cultural events. Leisure tours offer relaxation in selected settings. Each athletic tour focuses on a specific  type of physical activity. 1998 sales growth for the Tours department was 6.3%.
